The house is well off Kam Highway, thus QUIET! We invite you to experience renewal in your lives by staying a while in this extraordinarily beautiful and peaceful Old Hawaii setting on the North Shore of Oahu.
The house is an old plantation cottage (1200 sq. ft. plus porches) and was completely remodeled and updated in 1999, repainted in 2004, new top-of-line King and Queen beds and stainless steel BBQ in 2005. Old style but ALL NEW EVERYTHING - electrical, plumbing, doors, windows, hardwood floors and carpets, walls, siding, covered porches (one screened, one open), paint, appliances, fixtures, furniture, ceiling fans, and furnishings. Ten foot ceilings. And we maintain it in great shape!
Oahu's North Shore is as gorgeous and laid back as anywhere in the islands. It is quiet, except during Winter weekends when the World Surfing Championships and bring big wave surfers and their fans. Even then, Kawela Bay is quiet, despite the prized but little known surf breaks just outside its entrance. Hale'iwa is a fun town. The Polynesian Cultural Center in Laie is nearby. All Oahu is a local phone call. Nothing on the island is far away.
Home to dozens of giant turtles, Kawela Bay is a wonderful sheltered swimming beach from which only a few houses are in view; through 270 degrees one sees just sand meeting trees or water meeting sky. Often one walks the entire sandy crescent--or all the way to the Turtle Bay Resort--without seeing another person. The ocean beaches outside the bay offer a different scene with crashing waves. Watch the surfers at Sunset Beach. Or drive to Kailua for beginner and intermediate windsurfing.

Our vacation rental rate, per night for four or fewer persons, is $185 regularly, $210 Jun-Aug and Dec-Feb; base rate for weeks including Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years is $260. Add $25 per night extra apiece for a 5th or 6th person. All Rates plus 11.25% Oahu Hawaii Taxes. In addition we require a $500 deposit to hold your reservation, out of which cleaning charges ($120 plus taxes) and damages, if any, are paid; the deposit is otherwise refundable after your stay. Minimum stay is 7 nights, generally.
Check-in is 3:00 p.m., check out is at 11:00 a.m. unless other arrangements are made.
